In fact, it&#8217;s almost warm enough to be early summer.<\/p>\n<p>These beautiful white flowers grow in my garden under a rose bush. They are <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anemone_nemorosa\">windflowers<\/a>, also known as wood anemone, windflower, (European) thimbleweed, smell fox, or by their latin name <em>anemone nemorosa<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/christiandoenges\/4567696062\/\" title=\"White Windflowers by Christian Doenges, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3096\/4567696062_106af4422f.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" alt=\"White Windflowers\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">White Windflowers<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The flower is quite small (about 2 cm across), so I had to get very close using an extension ring between the lens and the camera.
