{"id":491,"date":"2009-09-09T00:06:40","date_gmt":"2009-09-08T22:06:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/doenges.com\/blog\/?p=491"},"modified":"2009-09-09T00:17:27","modified_gmt":"2009-09-08T22:17:27","slug":"dragonfly-sunning-on-a-rock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doenges.com\/blog\/2009\/09\/09\/dragonfly-sunning-on-a-rock","title":{"rendered":"Dragonfly Sunning on a Rock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last weekend I came upon this dragonfly while walking along the Gro\u00dfe Laine in Jachenau in the Alps.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/doenges.com\/g\/v\/Nature\/dragonfly-on-a-rock.jpg.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/doenges.com\/photos\/albums\/Nature\/dragonfly-on-a-rock.jpg\" alt=\"A dragonfly sitting on a warm rock, enjoying the heat of the sun.\" width=\"600\" \/> <\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dragonfly Sunning itself on a Rock.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The dragonfly zoomed about over the water of the river for a while before landing on the face of a large boulder to spread its wings and enjoy the warm sunlight. I was able to get consecutively closer to take some pictures before a child popped up over the top of the rock, peering straight down at the dragonfly. This, of course, was a bit too much for the dragonfly, which took off.<\/p>\n<p>I really love the comment of the child: &#8220;I guess it thought I was going to kill it.&#8221; &#8211; Spot on, dear!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last weekend I came upon this dragonfly while walking along the Gro\u00dfe Laine in Jachenau in the Alps.
